1. What exactly is the P value?

Simply put,​ ​P value is the distance between two lamp beads​ ​, the unit is millimeters. For example, in P4, the lamp beads are spaced 4 mm apart. The smaller the number, the denser the dots on the screen. Think of a mobile phone screen - the denser the pixels, the clearer it is, right? The same principle applies to LED screens.

There is a real case: an exhibition used a P10 screen promotional video, but when the audience stood closer, they saw that it was all mosaic. Later, it was replaced with a P6 screen, and the same content instantly looked better. So, if you choose the wrong P value, all your money will be wasted.

2. Quickly locate P value in three places

   Most LED screen casings have parameter labels affixed to them, just like the nameplates on the back of electrical appliances. Focus on the words "Pixel Pitch" or "Pixel Pitch", the number following them is the P value.

2. ​​control system interface​​
   After connecting to the control software, turn to the "Screen Parameters" option in the system settings. Here you can not only see the P value, but also the actual running refresh rate, brightness and other real-time data.

3. ​​Technical documentation​​
   Regular manufacturers will provide a "Product Specification", and the second chapter must contain pixel structure parameters. If you can't find it in the documentation, it is recommended to change suppliers quickly.

   Don't just look at the P value number, ask whether it is a static or dynamic parameter. Some screens are marked P3 and will automatically reduce the resolution when actually playing videos.

2. ​​Lamp bead attenuation rate​​
   It is also a P3 screen. If the lamp quality is poor, it may become an actual P3.5 screen in half a year. It is more reliable to choose products with intelligent brightness compensation technology.

3. ​​Splicing gaps​​
   Large screens are made of small pieces, and if the gaps are large, the actual display effect will be compromised. Like the aluminum-magnesium-zinc alloy box we use, the seams can be controlled within 0.1mm.

Q: Is the smaller the P value, the more expensive it is?
A: Generally speaking, yes, but it depends on the specific technology. For example, our transparent screen can achieve P4 and maintain 86% light transmittance, which makes sense that it is more expensive than ordinary P4 screens.

Q: How to judge that the manufacturer does not have false standard parameters?
A: Bring a vernier caliper to measure the distance between lamp beads! Or see if there is a third-party testing report. Each of our screens must pass a fully automatic optical detector before leaving the factory.

Q: P value is directly related to clarity?
A: In 90% of cases, yes, but it also depends on the grayscale. Just like a mobile phone screen, a 1080p screen is equipped with 1 billion colors, which is more delicate than the 16.7 million colors of a 4K screen.
